Many of you either know me personally or have read the “About Me” section and have an idea of where I am coming from. Little Wifey was a dream project for me. I am passionate about marriages, relationships, and families, and I wanted to positively impact this area in a current climate of unfortunate decay. So, I set out on this adventure to start a website, offering my expertise up for free to anyone who was willing to check out what I was saying. Since the start of it, I have put in so much time, energy, and effort to make it the best it can be and to constantly expand it to more. It’s my passion and my heart, which is why I devote so much of who I am into it.
The truth is though, I work full time on this website/resource without being paid a dime. It’s been a journey of faith, but it’s what I believe I am called to do, and I really believe in what I am doing. Right now my husband and I pay for everything out of our own pockets to keep this up and running, but that’s definitely challenging to do. Obviously times are tough economically, and we currently can’t offer a tax write-off to donors, but there are ways that you can help out financially beyond just donating.
- Donations- Obviously the biggest way you can help us out financially is to donate any amount of money to Little Wifey. Like I said, we pay out of pocket for all of the operational costs, and I volunteer all of my time right now to do what I am doing. Any amount of money though can help, and it is all used to keep Little Wifey up and running and to provide more for our readers. We did receive a generous donation from an individual the other day, and immediately I used it to provide a $50 gift card for our March Madness contest winner and $25 gift cards to the 3 runners up. If you would like to donate and be a part of thriving, you can do so in 1 of 2 ways. The first is through the website via Paypal – http://littlewifey.com/blog/contactme/giving/. And secondly is via checks, which can be made out to “Ashley McIlwain” and mailed to P.O. Box 15401, Irvine, CA 92612.
- Amazon- A lot of you make purchases through Amazon. They are a pretty cheap place to get books, music, movies, video games, and pretty much anything else that you might want or need. Well, Little Wifey is an Amazon Associate, which basically means that if you click through any of the Amazon links on the Little Wifey site, make your purchases as planned (whether they are the books, songs, etc. I am suggesting or not), Amazon will give us a cut of their profit without it costing you a dime. This is a great and easy way to help us out without spending an extra dime. So please, if you are making any purchase at all from Amazon, click through from the Little Wifey site first!
- Google- If you want to help Little Wifey without it costing you a dime, literally, there are a couple of things you can do. One is that you can conduct your Google searches from the Little Wifey website. Just type in what you are looking for as usual in the little Google toolbar (just beneath where you sign up for the LW newsletter, and to the left of the “Little Wifey Book Picks”), we get a bit of money depending on which links and sites you end up visiting. The other way is to click on any of the advertisements you see in the bottom right hand corner of the page. These are both totally free and easy ways to help out Little Wifey.
