Talking Tuesday

Share your thoughts, feelings, and stories as well as respond to others regarding these questions:

If you and your spouse or significant other were an ice cream flavor, what would you be and why?

I’ll get us started …

For the record, I love ice cream. I’m a borderline addict, and a scoop or two of my frozen favorite was on my mind, which is where this silly question was birthed from. Hopefully you can have a little fun with it.

Now that I’ve gotten that off of my chest, I would have to say Steve and I would most likely be Coldstone’s Birthday Cake Remix. Not only is that one of our favorite ice cream indulgences, but it suits are personalities. We’re a concoction of all sorts of things – fudge/adventurous, sprinkles/fun, cake batter ice cream/passionate, and brownies/serious – or something like that. We just love life together, and we’re always forging new paths, making new memories, and laughing a lot along the way.

Okay, it’s your turn!

Love this!! Its he first time I’ve read this on a Tuesday. I could also be an ice cream addict. LOL
My favorite is Braums Chocolate Almond ice cream. Its been my favorite since I was a little girl.

Becca, welcome to Talking Tuesday; we’re thrilled to have you! At least I know I’m not the only ice cream addict out there :) I’ve never heard of Braums Chocolate Almond, but it sounds delightful. I think they all are though … haha.

We have a Baskin Robbins near our home and my friends son owns it so when we do go for ice cream that is the place we go visit. My husband has found that with his diabetes he cannot eat ice cream but can eat sherbet. He loves the rainbow sherbet. This also fits his personality. There are many colors to his personality. I would be the peppermint ice cream because I like to spice things up a bit. This is a fun question today. Thanks Ashley!

  • Ricinda Says:

Peanut butter vanilla (AKA Peanut butter revel). These flavors are great alone and are quite successful separately-but together they are the perfect compliment to each other. That is how my husband and I are with each other. He is what makes me my greatest when we are together.

    • Ashley McIlwain Says:

Ricinda, I just had peanut butter revel when I was back home in PA, which is the only place I know to get it, and savored ever bite. I loved how you tied that in with you and your husband — successfully individually but even better together! Great stuff! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Erin Says:

I love this! I would pick chocolate peanut butter because we are rare to find out here (without the peanut butter cups) and a perfect complimentary fit! What’s better than chocolate and peanut butter? :-)

    • Ashley McIlwain Says:

Erin, chocolate peanut butter?? Yum! That’s definitely the perfect combination, which is why I love that you picked that for you and your husband. Sounds like you’re a great team :) Thanks for sharing!

  • Jeff Says:

We have a Sheridans Frozen Custard close to our house and I should have purchased some stock in it when it first opened! My wifey and I look for any excuse to go there…I love the razzel dazzel and she goes for anything that is heavy in chocolate. I have them make the razzel dazzel into a concrete so it is a mixture of raspberry, hot fudge, and the frozen custard…sort of like me – mixture of hard, frozen and sweet :) My bride goes straight for the chocolate and the richer the better for her. Like our marriage, I tend to be more razzel dazzel and she tends to be more deep, solid and consistent…I am very grateful for the differences because together we make a better team than by our selves.

    • Ashley McIlwain Says:

Jeff, I’ve never had Sheridans, but it sounds yummy. How nice that you and your wife are so complimentary. It’s great that you are able to celebrate your difference because like you said, that’s what makes you better as a team. Many people fight those differences when in fact we should embrace them. Thanks for kicking off the conversation!
