Talking Tuesday

Share your thoughts, feelings, and stories as well as respond to others regarding these questions:

Did you watch the Olympics? What’s your favorite event to watch? What’s your spouse or significant other’s favorite event to watch?

I’ll get us started …

Yes, we are definitely watching the Olympics. The Summer Olympics brings back a lot of memories for my husband and me because the last time we watched them was the summer before we got married. It’s funny because we both have such vivid memories of watching the games that summer, and now that they are back, we can’t help but think of those fun times together.

Both Steve and I enjoy watching the same sports, so it works out nicely. Among our favorites at the Olympics are track and field, gymnastics, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, basketball, soccer, and swimming. Truthfully though, we will watch whatever is on. Some of my favorite moments are being snuggled up with Steve cheering on the USA!

Okay, it’s your turn!

We LOVED watching the Olympics and we are so sad it’s over already!
Both growing up as althetes has carried over into our relationship now, especially since we went to high schools close by so we have great memories and stories to relate to!

We LOVE all of the events. We didn’t care what was on, we just loved watching the passion and hard work from our USA olympians. Some of our favorites are gymnastics, swimming, track and field and volleyball (beach and indoor)!

Meredith, we feel the same way! Last night we were like, “What do we do with our lives now that the Olympics are over?!” Haha. Steve and I also were athletes, so we really appreciate the competition and just how incredible the Olympic athletes are. It’s amazing! I’m glad that you and Scott enjoyed the festivities :) It reminds me of how last summer Olympics was just months before Steve and I got married (which brought up strong nostalgia for us this Olympics), and now the same will be true for you and Scott :) At the next Summer Olympics, it will bring up so many memories of those moments before you got married! Thanks for kicking off the conversation!
